The majority of the daytime activities are held in and around Wait Park, which is located in downtown Canby at 350 N Grant Street. Some activities span 2nd Avenue, and the parade encompasses much of the downtown. The fireworks are held at dusk at Baker Prairie Middle School – 1859 S Township Rd – and are hosted by Canby Fire District’s Volunteer Firefighter Association.
The parade is now at 10am. It will maintain the same route as years before, with the exception that it will now turn left on NW 1st Avenue to showcase the beautiful landscaping, dahlia plantings, and art sculptures.

There is no theme for this year’s event. The planning committee decided that Independence Day is all the inspiration needed! Wear your red, white, and blue!
There are bathrooms located in Wait Park, as well as port-a-potties throughout the event
Canby Independence Day Celebration is open to even the furriest of family members. Please make sure that dogs are on leash at all times.
